Henderson Court

Safe As Houses are delighted to present this block of apartments situated in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland. The two-storey building contains 10 one-bedroom apartments across the ground and first floor. The site benefits from a private rear garden with a separate detached staff and laundry room as well as parking for up to five vehicles.

Henderson Court also benefits from sustainable features and fittings, such as low surface temperature electric radiators. Additionally, the apartments on the ground floor were designed with the needs of deaf individuals in mind, which includes fittings such as flashing fire alarms.

Throughout this project, we received great support from the Commissioning Local Authority Northumberland County Council, the Care Provider Community Integrated Care, the Registered Provider YMCA, and our construction partners, which we are very grateful for.

Both the Local Authority and NHS had a clear target for this project: to create homes for individuals with care needs that allow living as independently as possible while providing the residents the care they need.
