Are you a recently qualified valuation/building surveyor or someone seeking a chartered status? Do you want to be part of a working culture that has a strong emphasis on making a real difference to the people that need it most?

 

If so, join Safe as Houses as a Surveyor, where you will enjoy remote working as you work 37 hours a week alongside SAH’s internal surveying team. You'll be expected to travel to sites primarily in the central and south of England, and occasionally further afield.

 

As a Surveyor, you will be working alongside an established procurement team and Head of Surveying, Craig as you will be responsible for advising on potential properties and sites across the UK. This will include initial desktop research and appraisal through to detailed condition surveys.

 

There will be the opportunity to develop and grow your remit and focus as the business expands. Room for enhancement exists, as do rewards for excellent performance.

What you will be doing:

As a Surveyor, you will need:

  • On-site and Desktop appraisal of properties

  • Provide detailed cost estimates and valuation advice

  • Liaise with external contractors, carry out progress reports and complete final snagging inspections

  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively communicate at all levels

  • IT and organisational skills along with the ability to write concise letters and reports when dealing with property issues

  • Understanding of building construction, valuation techniques

  • Experience in undertaking surveys, preparing specifications for a variety of building works
