Human Resources Manager
Sarah joins Safe As Houses having attained a wide range of experience and skills throughout her working life. Sarah began her career teaching and researching in Higher Education, attaining a PhD from the University of Glasgow along the way, before embarking on a more philanthropic journey into the Third Sector. Here, Sarah has held various management and non-executive director roles working for organisations supporting the people that need it most in our communities.
In the last few years, Sarah has particularly relished developing and implementing a wide range of HR projects and initiatives. So much so, she made the decision to rubber-stamp her significant HR and people management experience and study a full-time masters at Glasgow Caledonian University to gain Chartered level status, which she is proud to say is now attained.
Sarah is excited to be appointed in the new role of HR Manager, and is determined to deliver an efficient, effective, and fully supportive HR service for all colleagues in the Safe As Houses team.
When Sarah’s not working, she enjoys planning her next holiday to somewhere she hasn’t been before, spending as much spare time with her family as possible, watching telly on a rainy day with a massive bar of chocolate, and just enjoying life!
