Nick Scott

Business Development Manager, Homeless Services

Nick started in the building trade at Jewson Ltd where over the course of eight years he went from being on their graduate scheme to becoming Sales Development Manager for Sustainability. This role saw him building and developing close relationships with customers and branch sales teams, working with the marketing department, organising trade days to increase awareness of the product portfolio, evaluating new products for the portfolio and being responsible for delivering sales growth for sustainable products across the South & East region.

Nick then moved into the watch industry at Seiko UK where he became the merchandise manager for the brand where he was involved with all aspects of product, below the line marketing, branding and account management.

He then became the retail sales team leader at Miele, heading up a team of 11 staff selling directly to the public, this involved phone and in person consultations with the public to identify their needs and make recommendations.

Nick joined Safe As House Care as Business Development Manager for the South East, building and developing relationships with Local Authorities, NHS, Commissioning Teams, Housing Associations and Care Providers. Within his current role as Business Development Manager, Homeless Services he is committed to work in collaboration with the government, local authorities and homeless charities to address the growing problem of homelessness, and develop schemes that combat it by building safe, suitable, fit for purpose, and future proofed homes and in a way that is cost effective by ensuring they are rent neutral, thus helping reduce the need for expensive B&B’s + emergency accommodation. He is very proud of the work accomplished so far and the recognition that is developing through our completed schemes.

Outside of work Nick’s interests include music, cars, DIY and spending time with his family and friends.
