Geoff has always been interested in the power of positively communicating with people. After school he chose to study Multimedia Technology at university to gain practical experience in all elements of the discipline. His studies continued into postgraduate level this time in Broadcast Journalism.
During his studies, he worked on the (often sticky) floor at student union events. This involvement led to being offered a full time job in Marketing and Communications after graduation. Working in this role for a number of years, was an excellent environment to hone his skills and learn about the importance of speaking effectively to a chosen target demographic.
Geoff then joined the BBC for a new challenge and different environment. Working at Radio 1’s Academy, BBC Learning projects and events and latterly in a freelance capacity with Topical Morning Programmes at Radio Scotland.
Geoff moved to Safe as Houses Care in summer of 2019 where he is currently in the role of Marketing Executive. During this time there have been highlights in overseeing video and web work to completion, working directly with other teams to support them with the assets that they need to bring the SAHC proposition to life.
In his free time, he enjoys singing in a rock band with friends, volunteering with a charity radio station and spending time with his little one, wife and dog.
