Emma Jane Murray
Emma has joined Safe as Houses Care (SAHC) after spending 19 years in the Oil & Gas sector. Her roles varied across customer service, administration and six sigma training. After deciding she wanted a change, she moved to the engineering sector which was a welcome challenge for her. Emma’s hard work paid off and she became the project manager for one of her employer’s biggest clients at the time managing a team of seventeen engineers and three senior engineers.
In the project management field, however, Emma quickly realised she needed to gain further financial knowledge. This lead her on a journey of further professional development: first her PDA, HNC and HND, and then just recently her BA (hons) in Accounting.
SAHC appealed to Emma due to her personal experience within the Care and Children’s sector as well as her wish for her work to be meaningful and have a positive impact on people within the care sector. Having worked and taught children in Brazil and supported them through their learning process, it was the work that SAHC do in the Children’s Sector and in other sectors that ultimately convinced Emma to join us.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys lifting weights at the gym and coaching at a Kids Football club.
