David Reid has acted as Strategic Brand & Marketing Consultant for Safe as Houses Care since 2019. A veteran of the Scottish Marketing community, he uses his 35 years within the sector to advise and creatively guide the external communications of the SAHC brand.
David works with clients to develop their unique brand narrative, by taking them through a bespoke brand positioning exercise that he has developed over several years. Once this body of work has been successfully captured, he then helps his clients to implement a creative strategy capable of disrupting their sector and increasing market share.
During his career he has been responsible for developing brand positioning strategies for many well known brands and organisations. These include British Association for Adoption and Fostering, Custom Build Homes, Tennent’s Lager, Hampden & Co Bank, Direct Line, Glenmorangie, Gleneagles, Border Biscuits, Walkers and The Waldorf Astoria, New York.
David is a multiple industry award winner and the only marketer in Scotland to win Creative Director of the Year, Agency MD of the Year and Marketing Client of the Year.
Outside of work, his interests are cooking, eating out, reading, modern art and spending far too much time and energy worrying about Heart of Midlothian FC.
