This is an opportunity to join an exciting, high growth business. Due to on-going expansion, we now have a vacancy for a full-time Project Development Manager. The role will be home-based but will involve travelling to sites in South & Central England but also throughout the UK.

 

This position would be suited to an individual with significant experience of working in Project Management roles (ideally within the social care/affordable housing sector) with overall accountability for project delivery. Equally, it is important that the right candidate will be able to adapt to a fast-moving commercial environment whilst dealing with different stakeholders. There will be the opportunity to develop and grow your remit and focus as the business expands. Room for enhancement exists, as do rewards for excellent performance.

What you will be doing:

As a Project Developer Manager, you will need:

  • Deliver the project in terms of schedule, scope, budget and quality; you will be running several projects concurrently

  • Take the lead in coordinating the project team (6-10 people)

  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • At the end of a project, work closely with Legal and Construction partners to ensure all necessary paperwork and compliance documentation is in place prior to exit

  • Anticipate and effectively manage risks, issues and dependencies that impact on projects and escalate these appropriately

  • Understand the Accountability and Responsibility of all members of the project team and monitor capacity

  • Drive cross-team planning, coordination and collaboration

  • Provide regular and open communication across the project portfolio and towards stakeholders. Be aware of the necessity for transparency and updates regarding progress and any impediments

  • Provide regular project reporting and adhere to the internal project governance protocols

  • Act as a Champion for the Company and its values in all business interactions

  • Experience in the Construction sector is advantageous

  • Demonstrable and applied experience of initiating and successfully delivering complex projects

  • Strong problem-solving, planning and prioritisation and intra presonal skills are essential - You will be managing multiple deliverables, often within tight deadlines

  • Experience delivering projects which adhere to a stage gate process or similar

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Critical Path Analysis 

  • Excellent strategic-thinking skills and the ability to look at the 'big picture' 

  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives 

  • Proven ability to present and communicate at all levels with clarity and accuracy
